Welcome to My Studio: A Peaceful Pottery Corner
Step into my Uttarahalli studio—a bright, plant-filled space where we slow down, reconnect with our hands, and let the clay do the talking.
A glimpse into our world, where clay meets creativity. This video shows our studio in action during our 15-day beginner pottery courses.
A student holding her beautifully glazed, three-legged pinch pot. I love seeing the pride and joy in my students' faces when they see their finished work.
A student admiring her unique, hand-built creation after it has been glaze-fired. The blue and black glaze created a beautiful, speckled effect.
From raw clay to refined form, this is a showcase of a student's beautiful handmade pieces after her 15-day hand-building journey.
A sweet little milk pitcher with a beautiful, flowing glaze. This was another piece from a student's 15-day hand-building journey.
This rectangular tray with a blue leaf pattern was created using a sgraffito technique, where the design is carved through a layer of colored slip.
A hand-held, organically shaped bowl with a dynamic splash of blue and green glaze, resembling a blooming flower.
A beautiful hand-built teapot with carved vertical lines and a rich blue glaze. This piece was made by a student in my 15-day hand-building course.
This unique, modern vase is a beautiful example of sculptural, functional art. It's designed to hold a single stem, making a minimalist statement.
A wheel-thrown teapot with a dripping blue glaze over a raw stoneware base. This was part of a student's final collection.
About Welcome to My Studio
When you visit, keep in mind that pottery is a slow craft. Because pieces require drying time before they go through two rounds of kiln firing, you won’t take your finished work home the same day. This waiting period is a natural part of the process, ensuring your creations are durable, food-safe, and ready to last.
My studio in Uttarahalli is designed for quiet focus. It isn’t a sterile classroom; it is a semi-outdoor terrace space where sunlight, plants, and the occasional bird song set the mood. I have found that when you change your environment, your approach to creativity changes too.
Whether you sign up for a single hand-building session or commit to a 15-day wheel-throwing program, you work with premium stoneware clay. The process is deliberate: you will wedge, shape, and refine your piece, but the most important lesson is patience. After we finish, your work goes through bisque and glaze firing. The result is a durable, functional piece of art built to be used in your daily life.
I keep class sizes small, usually 4 to 6 people. This allows me to provide hands-on help for every student, from centering on the wheel to carving details using sgraffito techniques. If you have never touched clay, do not worry. The space is built for beginners who want to learn a skill, not just hobbyists looking for a quick fix. Come by for a session to see why I think getting your hands dirty is the best way to unwind.
