Yoga isn't just about flexible poses, it is about building discipline and finding peace. Here is a look at my Ashtanga practice, where we focus on real strength, breath control, and consistent effort.

This is the choice we make every day. Instead of waiting for a health crisis, I choose to fight for myself on the mat for an hour. This discipline is not a punishment; it is an investment in a long, healthy, and capable life.

The Wheel Pose, or Chakrasana, can seem intimidating, but it's achievable with the right preparation. In this tutorial, I break down the preparatory poses like Cat-Cow and Bridge Pose to safely open your spine and build the strength needed to master this powerful backbend.

Strength in yoga isn't just about flexibility. I incorporate traditional Indian exercises like the Dand, or Hindu push-ups, into my practice. This video shows different variations that build incredible upper body and core strength, which is essential for a healthy spine.

Feeling stressed? Your breath is your most powerful tool. Anulom Vilom, or alternate nostril breathing, is a simple yet profound pranayama technique to calm the nervous system. I'll guide you through the correct hand position and breathing pattern to find immediate relief.

Many of us struggle to sit comfortably in Malasana, the yogic squat, because of tight hips and ankles. Here, I demonstrate two simple exercises using a wall that will improve your mobility and help you sit correctly in this fundamental and beneficial posture.

This is a fun look at how a yogic lifestyle changes your daily habits. It's not just about the asanas; it's about incorporating mindful movement and posture into everything you do, starting from the moment you wake up.

The energy of practicing together is powerful. This is a glimpse from our International Yoga Day celebration, where our community came together to move, breathe, and connect. My classes, whether online or in a park, are about sharing this collective journey.

About this collection

If you think yoga is just about flexibility, let me change that perspective. My practice is built on the Ashtanga foundation, focusing on proper breathing, alignment, and traditional 'Dand' exercises to build functional strength. I provide the techniques and modifications for every level, but the discipline to show up on the mat? That part is on you.

My Approach to Ashtanga

Yoga is a commitment to yourself. Whether we are practicing the primary series or focusing on simple mobility drills, my goal is to help you move with purpose. You won't find rigid, corporate-style classes here; you will find a space where we work on 'Svadhyaya' (self-study) and learn to listen to what our body needs.

What You Get in My Sessions

  • Traditional Strength: We don't just stretch. I integrate Hanuman Dand and Ram Murti Dand to build core and upper body strength that supports your spine.
  • Breath-Led Movement: We use Pranayama like Kapalbhati and Anulom Vilom to cleanse the nervous system and calm the mind, not just to finish a routine.
  • Practical Modifications: Struggling with Malasana or Chakrasana? I teach you how to use props and wall support to safely open up tight hips and shoulders.

I host small group sessions in Bellandur and Sarjapur, where I can provide manual corrections and inversion spotting. If you are in Bangalore, come practice in a natural, ventilated space. For those who cannot make it in person, my live online classes ensure you don't miss your daily dose of discipline. If you are tired of fighting for your life in a hospital, start fighting for your health on the mat today.
