This living room captures the soul of a traditional Maharashtrian home with a modern twist. The centerpiece is a classic wooden swing, or 'jhoola', creating a perfect spot for family conversations and quiet moments. It’s a space that feels both grand and grounded.

About Modern Maharashtrian Homes
Adding a traditional wooden swing, or jhoola, into a modern apartment requires more than just picking a seat. We handle the structural ceiling reinforcement and spatial planning on-site, ensuring it feels like an organic part of your living room rather than an afterthought.

We look at your floor plan to see where a central element like a swing can go without blocking the flow of light or movement.
Then comes the detail. You see these backlit niches in our photos? Those are often part of a custom civil wall we build near the wash basin area. Instead of a plain wall, we create a feature point using textured paint and custom arches that hold your decor pieces. It turns a utility area into a highlight of the home.
The color palette here is key. We stick to warm, neutral tones to make the apartment feel spacious, then layer in traditional patterns through tiles or wall art. We focus on in-situ construction for these elements, meaning we build the arches and niches specifically for your space.
