Toddler Reading and Sensory Play Workshops in Koramangala
It is never too early to start the reading adventure. Our Baby & Me and Busy Todd sessions mix cozy read-alouds with messy sensory play, music, and movement for toddlers aged 15-36 months.
It's never too early for stories! Our 'Baby & Me' workshops are specially designed for our tiniest bookworms, aged 15 to 36 months, and their caregivers. We explore themes like ocean life and farm animals through sensory play, songs, and of course, lots of cuddly reading time.
Look at the pure joy of sensory play! Our toddler workshops are full of magical moments, from exploring rainbow rice and making pasta jewelry to spinning with play silks. This is how we build happy brains.
Our 'Busy Todd' summer workshop is perfect for keeping little ones engaged. We plan mornings of fun around themes like 'Garden and Bugs' and 'Space', using rhymes, crafts, and sensory activities.
Celebrating parent-child love, no matter what! This cozy event for toddlers is all about bonding through action songs, snuggly stories, and messy sensory play like jelly fun and ice painting.
A book picnic for our babies! As part of National Library Week, we hosted this free session for toddlers to enjoy read-alouds, songs, and picnic baskets bursting with books under the mango tree.
About Fun for Our Tiniest Bookworms (1-3 Years)
It is not just about sitting still and reading. In our toddler sessions, we use messy play like rainbow rice, oobleck, and ice painting to get those little hands moving while we listen to stories. This hands-on approach helps toddlers engage with books through their senses, making reading feel like pure play, not a lesson.
At Hoo Hippocampus, we believe the best way to introduce books to a toddler is through their fingertips, toes, and ears. Our 'Baby & Me' and 'Busy Todd' sessions are structured to meet toddlers exactly where they are developmentally. We do not ask for quiet hours in our library, we ask for curiosity.
What happens in our sensory and story sessions?
- Messy Sensory Play: We create themed setups using materials like rainbow rice, homemade playdough, and sensory bins. This helps toddlers explore textures, refine their fine motor skills, and connect tactile experiences to the books we read.
- Music and Movement: For the wiggliest toddlers, we include action songs and rhymes to channel their energy before we settle in for a snuggly book session. It keeps them engaged without needing them to stay perfectly still.
- Parent-Child Bonding: These are interactive sessions for you and your child. We create a space for you to participate, bond, and learn new ways to introduce reading at home without the pressure of strict academic rules.
Why visit our Koramangala centre?

We have comfortable seating, plenty of space for movement, and an ever-changing library of books that rotate based on themes like space, animals, and weather. We make reading a hands-on adventure that happens in the real world, not just on a page.
