About Festive Ornaments
Because each ornament is hand-cut and fired in my kiln, the shapes won't be perfectly geometric, and the glaze might shift slightly in the heat. When you hold these, you aren't just getting decor; you're getting a small, tactile piece of my studio process that feels human, not factory-made.
The festive season for me is all about slowing down, and these ornaments are designed to carry that feeling onto your tree. I make these using stoneware clay, which gives them a sturdy, earthy weight compared to mass-produced decorations.
My 'Hope' and 'Love' collections are the heart of this series. You will find affirmation pieces—like stars with hand-carved 'Hope' or 'Shine On' text—paired with smaller, painted stars. Each one is hand-painted with underglaze designs that I doodle while listening to music in the studio. Whether you are buying these as a thoughtful gift for a loved one or simply adding a bit of handmade charm to your own holiday decor, these pieces are meant to last longer than a single season.
Since everything is handmade, please remember that no two ornaments are identical. The jute twine loops are tied by hand, and the glaze colors can vary based on where they sit in the kiln. I believe these tiny variations are what make them special. They aren't meant to look like they came off a machine; they are meant to look like they came from a pair of hands. If you are ordering for the holidays, please reach out early, as the drying and firing process takes time.
