About In The Ring: Sparring & Fight Simulation
Sparring isn't about showing off; it is the only way to test if your technique actually works under pressure. I supervise every session personally, watching your guard, footwork, and ring IQ. You will wear headgear and proper gloves because I want you sharp for the next round, not injured. If you are not ready to get hit while trying to land your own shot, this isn't the ring for you.
Training inside the ropes
When you step onto the mat at our Laxman Vihar facility, you aren't just doing drills. You are entering a controlled fight environment. Our sparring sessions are structured to build your 'fight sense.' We focus on:
- Ring Craft: Learning how to cut off the ring, manage distance, and use your jab to control the pace.
- Defense & Countering: We drill slipping, ducking, and blocking, followed immediately by a counter-punch. You learn to stay calm when punches are flying toward you.
- Conditioning under fire: Fighting is exhausting. We push you to maintain your form even when your lungs are burning.
The reality of our sparring
We train serious boxers who want to compete at state, national, and university levels. Because of this, our sparring is serious. We use standard competition-grade rings. You are expected to have your own protective gear for hygiene, though we have community sets available for beginners.
I personally oversee these sessions to ensure technique isn't sacrificed for aggression. We don't just 'spar'; we simulate specific fight scenarios. If you are preparing for an upcoming bout, we adjust the pace to match the intensity you will face in the tournament. This is not for people who want a gentle workout; this is for people who want to fight.
