Commercial Architecture & Hospitality Design
We design commercial spaces and hospitality venues that function as community hubs. Our approach blends modern structural volumes with the intimacy of traditional gathering places.
Our design for a commercial office space. The concept is centered on creating a healthy work environment by maximizing views of surrounding nature and incorporating a central courtyard for natural light and ventilation.
A sectional rendering of the office building. This view shows the central, multi-level courtyard with its connecting stairways, surrounded by open and semi-open workspaces that encourage collaboration and movement.
This conceptual animation illustrates our design process for the office, showing the evolution from the existing site condition to the proposed concept with its integrated landscape, courtyards, and transitional outdoor terraces.
The 'Pavilion' project, designed as a contemporary public hub for community living. The design uses a clean, minimalist aesthetic with strong horizontal lines to create a welcoming retreat space.
The spatial form of the Pavilion is inspired by ancient Indian temple architecture. It features a large, colonnaded courtyard that organizes a mix of open, semi-open, and enclosed spaces for various activities.
An evening view of the Pavilion, where a floating volume on the upper level creates a counterpoint to the open ground floor. This juxtaposition of solid and void defines the building's architectural character.
The play of materials and the arrangement of volumes alter the ambiance of different zones within the Pavilion. This view shows the relationship between the main hall and the expansive surrounding landscape.
About this collection
In our hospitality and commercial projects, the central courtyard acts as the lungs of the building. We position it not just as an aesthetic void, but as a functional social anchor that draws natural light into deep floor plates while facilitating cross-ventilation in both work and dining areas.
Our commercial architecture goes beyond standard floor plans. We focus on the interplay of volumes and voids to create a sensory experience for occupants and visitors alike. In projects like 'The Potpouri', we drew inspiration from the traditional village square, using porous, open-fronted kiosks to encourage natural interaction and social flow. For our office designs, we prioritize structural grid optimization and facade identity, often using materials like Corten steel and glass to create a distinctive aesthetic while ensuring passive cooling through louvers, skylights, and semi-open verandas. Whether we are designing a restaurant or a multi-level office, the goal remains to improve circulation and create distinct activity zones. We balance the need for quiet, focused work with the desire for community, often separating public zones from semi-private areas through subtle level changes or material shifts. Every decision, from the selection of local stone to the orientation of a veranda roof, is made to ensure the space remains practical for the user while retaining a strong architectural character.
