High-Rise Apartment Architecture: Dasta Concerto
Designing for Bangalore’s vertical landscape requires more than just stacking units. At Dasta Concerto, we balanced functional 2 and 3 BHK layouts with community-centric amenities for families navigating the city’s busy IT corridors.

About High-Rise Apartment Design: Dasta Concerto
High-rise living in Bangalore often risks feeling isolated, so our approach at Dasta Concerto focused on the concept of 'vertical community.' We intentionally designed the ground-level landscaped buffers and shared recreational zones to act as the social heart of the building, ensuring that a 15-storey tower still fosters the neighbourly interaction usually found in low-rise developments.
Architecture for the IT Corridor
The challenge with projects along Sarjapur Road is managing the intersection of high-speed urban transit and the need for residential calm. For Dasta Concerto, our design process began with site density analysis. We had to optimize the footprint for a 15-storey structure while ensuring every unit received adequate natural light and ventilation, a critical factor for the young IT-working families who populate this demographic.
Vertical Density and Community
When scaling vertically, the biggest loss is the traditional street-level interaction. To counter this, we integrated:
- Community Anchors: By placing the swimming pool and social amenities at the base, we created a destination point for residents, rather than tucking them away on a rooftop where they are underutilized.
- Landscaped Buffers: We introduced stepped gardens and structured outdoor seating at the ground level. These spaces act as a transition zone between the bustling city and the privacy of the home.
- Optimized Floor Plates: The 2 and 3 BHK configurations were planned to minimize common wall noise and maximize the usable living area, utilizing structural grids that allow for future interior flexibility.
The 'Glocal' Approach to High-Rises
While this is a modern high-rise, our 'Glocal' philosophy remains consistent. We used a clean, minimalist facade to define the silhouette against the Bangalore skyline, but tempered the coldness of standard concrete towers with warm material palettes in the common areas. This creates a residential complex that feels both contemporary and inviting, serving as a functional, long-term asset for families rather than just another anonymous building in the city.
