A Look Inside Our Art Studio
Welcome to our creative home where technique meets expression. Whether you are learning composition or finding your style, come see how we make art an accessible journey for every age.
"We are Grahin students, of course we know..." Our students have fun showing off the wide range of skills they have learned, from color theory and perspective to portraiture and Indian art forms.
A parent shares his feedback on how our art program has helped his daughter improve her imagination, skills, and confidence. We are proud to collaborate with schools to foster creativity.

About A Look Inside Our Studio
If you drop by our studio, you won't see silent rows of students copying from a book. You will hear us discussing 'space division,' students figuring out how to merge colours properly, and the hum of a community sharing tips on composition. We believe art is a conversation, not just a lecture. Here, we help you fix that specific brushstroke or perspective angle in real-time, because the most important part of learning art is understanding why you are making a mark, not just how to copy a shape.
At Grahin, we treat the studio as a second home. Whether you are at our Ghatkopar center, visiting us in Dadar, or joining our Thane classes, the philosophy remains the same: art is for everyone, regardless of age or experience.
Learning by Doing
We focus on the 'how' and 'why' of art. You will see students working on everything from foundation sketching and portraiture to eco-friendly Shadu Mati sculpture. Our sessions are not about rigid academic structures but about building confidence. When we teach techniques like watercolour application or oil painting mastery, we focus on the process. You will often hear us talking about 'garam' (warm) colours or discussing how to 'merge' strokes, ensuring you grasp the technicality without losing the joy of creating.
A Supportive Community
Our studio is a place where self-doubt is left at the door. We run small batches, usually 10-15 students, which allows for personal attention. This setup lets us provide hands-on guidance on composition, anatomy studies, and even 'plein air' outdoor sketching trips. We celebrate this community at our annual exhibitions, where students from all our centers get to showcase their work.
Whether you are a toddler picking up your first brush or a senior citizen exploring art as a new hobby, you will find a supportive space here. Come join us, find your style, and be a part of our growing art family.
Grahin Art Institute
I started Grahin in 2011 because I believe art should be for everyone, from toddlers exploring colours to seniors finding joy in a new hobby. My studio isn't about stiff rules; it’s about 'prem' (love) and helping you find your own creative voice through hands-on practice.
