Hands-On Craft Workshops in Mumbai

At Hema's Hues Academy, we focus on the process, not just the product. We believe that art is a fantastic way to disconnect from digital screens and reconnect with your own creativity.

What we do in our craft sessions

We run workshops across my Mumbai studios in Prabhadevi, Powai, and Thane. These aren't your typical sit-and-watch lectures. We dive right into the tactile stuff:

• Clay Modelling: From making eco-friendly Ganesha idols to clay magnets, you'll learn to shape, dry, and paint your own 3D creations.
• Dot Mandala & Decoupage: We explore precision and patience through dot mandala art on candle holders, and we use decoupage techniques to breathe new life into everyday objects.
• Lippan Art: You’ll get to try this traditional Kutch mud and mirror work, adding that beautiful, rustic texture to your home decor.
• Tie & Dye: A favourite for summer camps and weekend sessions, where you'll experiment with patterns on cotton fabrics.

Why join a workshop?

I’ve been teaching since 2015, and the biggest thing I've learned is that everyone has a story to tell through art. You don't need to be an expert to join. Our classes are designed for beginners who want to try something new, as well as for those looking to refine their skills in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. All materials are included, so you just need to bring yourself and your curiosity.

We aren't just a classroom; we are an art family. Many students start with a one-day workshop and end up joining our regular weekly batches.
