Step into a space where movement meets stillness. Join me for Hatha yoga, restorative breathwork, and meditation sessions designed to help you reconnect with yourself, regardless of your experience level.

Every breath we draw is an expression of yoga. This practice lives in how we engage with the world, with openness and compassion. Take a moment today to just breathe. You're exactly where you need to be.

Ever wonder why backbends can make you emotional? They open up the chest and shoulders, areas where we store stress. This physical release can lead to a powerful emotional one.

My journey with Kapotasana. This pose is challenging for me, but I'm learning that yoga adapts to each body. The goal is Sthira and Sukha, steadiness and ease, not a perfect shape.

A sound healing session in progress. Participants are in Savasana, absorbing the restorative vibrations of the singing bowls. This is a practice of deep listening and letting go.

Another view of our sound healing and meditation session. Yoga isn't just about movement; it's about finding stillness and clarity.

Guiding a breathwork exercise during a yoga class. Shifting awareness to the breath is a powerful tool for finding clarity and compassion in our daily lives.

A focused shot of me guiding a class through pranayama. The breath is our life force, and learning to control it helps us slow down our thoughts and find balance.

About this collection

Yoga isn't about reaching a perfect shape; it is about finding where your body feels steady and easy. In my classes, we use modifications and gentle adjustments to honor your unique anatomy, ensuring that whether you are a total beginner or an experienced practitioner, you leave the mat feeling more grounded than when you arrived.

My approach to The Mindful Practice is rooted in the philosophy of Sthira (steadiness) and Sukha (ease). We move away from the pressure of performing complex asanas and return to the basics of breath and body awareness.

We typically explore:

  • Hatha Yoga: A slow, intentional flow that focuses on joint mobility and building a solid foundation, perfect for those recovering from injury or simply looking to slow down.
  • Pranayama & Breathwork: We dedicate significant time to controlling the life force—the breath. These techniques are essential for calming the nervous system after a long week of city stress.
  • Sound Healing & Nidra: We often close our practice with guided Savasana, using singing bowls to encourage deep relaxation and mental clarity.

This is not a space for competition. We practice together in a shala environment that prioritizes safety and community over flexibility. Whether you are dealing with chronic stress, emotional fatigue, or just want to establish a consistent personal practice, these sessions provide the tools you need to carry your yoga off the mat and into your daily life. If you are ever unsure about a pose or if a movement feels 'off,' we stop, modify, and explore what works for your body.

I'm Gowri, and for me, yoga is about more than just movement—it is how I come back to myself. I don't do 'one-size-fits-all' classes; I teach you to listen to your body, finding that balance of steadiness and ease in every breath we take.
