Creative Arts & Crafts Workshops for Kids in Bengaluru

I create spaces where your little ones can get messy, explore new ideas, and build confidence through art. From understanding masters like Kandinsky to making holiday keepsakes, every session is about hands-on discovery and joy.

In this art session, we delved into the world of Wassily Kandinsky, a pioneer of abstract art. We learned about his use of color and form and then created our own paintings inspired by his geometric style.

Today we learned about the abstract artist Mark Rothko and his famous color field paintings. The children then created their own Rothko-inspired art, exploring how different colors can express emotions.

Making personalized Christmas baubles is one of our favorite holiday crafts. We made our own "snow" using baking powder and shaving foam for a fun sensory experience before decorating our ornaments.

Cooking is a craft too! Here's a fun and delicious pasta recipe that kids can help make. It's a great way to build confidence in the kitchen and enjoy a meal you made together.

About this collection

My workshops go beyond just drawing; we dig into the stories behind the art. Whether we're exploring the abstract expressionism of Mark Rothko or making DIY ornaments with homemade 'snow', I focus on letting children lead the creative process. All materials are provided, so you just need to bring your child ready to explore and get a little messy.

Why Creative Play Matters

At Fun with the Munchkins, I believe art is about more than the finished product. It’s about the messy, unpredictable journey of creation. My workshops in Bengaluru are designed to spark curiosity, whether it's understanding the color field theories of Mark Rothko or exploring geometric planes through Kandinsky’s lens.

What We Explore Together

  • Art History for Little Minds: We don't just copy pictures. We talk about what the artist felt and why they painted that way, making history approachable for kids.
  • Sensory & Process Art: Sometimes the fun is in the making—like creating our own 'snow' for Christmas baubles using baking powder and shaving foam.
  • Custom Workshops: Whether it's a private birthday party or a community holiday workshop, I bring all the supplies, aprons, and canvases needed to your chosen location.

Practical Details for Parents

  • All-Inclusive: I provide everything—easels, paints, and specialized tools. You show up, and we handle the setup and cleanup.
  • Age-Appropriate: I divide activities by age so toddlers engage in sensory play while older kids tackle complex art projects.
  • Venue Flexibility: We host sessions at various kid-friendly cafés and clubhouses across the city, making it easy to drop in and join the fun.

I'm Deepika, and I started this journey with my own girls to prove that play is the best way to learn. I believe art should be messy, joyful, and deeply personal, which is why I build every workshop to help kids connect with their own creativity.
