Hands-On Science & Sensory Play for Kids in Bangalore

byFun with the MunchkinsHosted at various venues across BengaluruView full gallery

I believe play matters more than perfection. Join me to explore science and sensory concepts through messy, meaningful fun that keeps your little ones curious and excited.

Water beads are a fantastic tool for sensory play, even for older kids. We used them for several age-appropriate activities, including counting, sorting, and even learning about surface tension.

Here is a quiet moment of creativity and connection. This mommy-daughter art session shows how simple patterns and colors can become a beautiful, collaborative piece of art.

We celebrated International Dot Day with a fun dot painting party. This day is all about encouraging creativity and self-expression, reminding us that even a simple dot can be the start of a masterpiece.

About this collection

Science does not have to be a textbook exercise. In these sessions, we trade boring lectures for water beads, Oobleck, and DIY experiments that actually work. Whether it is sorting coins in a sensory bin to learn math or exploring surface tension with floating objects, every activity is designed to get hands moving and brains firing.

I started these sessions because I realized that for kids, the best way to learn is not by reading about a concept, but by touching it, mixing it, and sometimes making a big mess with it. My approach is rooted in the belief that curiosity is a muscle and you have to exercise it through play.

Why Sensory & Science Play?

  • Tangible Learning: When we build solar ovens, we are talking about renewable energy, but kids are focused on how the heat actually melts the chocolate. That connection is where the magic happens.
  • Messy is Good: If your child loves digging through water beads or getting their hands sticky with Oobleck, this is for them. I create the environment so you do not have to worry about the cleanup at home.
  • Age-Appropriate Challenges: I tailor the complexity. Toddlers might focus on sorting colors and shapes, while older munchkins explore the physics behind why non-Newtonian fluids act the way they do.

We host these workshops at various cafes, clubs, and community spaces across Bangalore. Everything is provided, from the aprons to the experiment kits. You just bring your curious kid, and I handle the rest. Whether it is a weekend drop-in or a seasonal workshop, the goal remains the same: spark interest, ask questions, and have a lot of fun doing it.
