Mindfulness and Meditation for New Mothers
Motherhood is beautiful, but it is also deeply exhausting. Finding space for yourself is not a luxury, but a necessity. My sessions offer a gentle, non-judgmental space to help you manage the emotional shifts of postpartum life and find calm amidst the chaos.
Quality sleep is vital for a new mother's recovery. This video shares a simple evening ritual based on yogic principles to help you relax your mind and body. Learn how to prepare for a more restful night and enhance your 'prana', or life force energy.
It is important to create space to process the many experiences of life and motherhood. I guide you through a 'Let Go' meditation, a powerful tool for emotional release that helps you feel lighter, more peaceful, and open to the positive energy around you.
Gratitude is a simple yet powerful way to shift your energy and find joy, even on difficult days. In this guided gratitude meditation, I share three simple tips to help you cultivate a positive mindset, reduce stress, and improve your relationship with yourself.
About Mindfulness for New Mothers
New motherhood often feels like a constant rush of responsibilities, leaving little space to just breathe. My sessions focus on small, intentional pauses rather than intense physical drills, teaching you how to use simple breathing exercises and grounding techniques to regulate your nervous system when you feel overwhelmed or sleep-deprived.
When you are constantly tending to a baby, it is easy to lose touch with your own rhythm. The mindfulness practices I teach are not about achieving a perfect state of calm, but about acknowledging the reality of your day and finding a way to move through it without draining your spirit. We focus on the concept of 'Shikore fire jaoya'—returning to our roots to find the core of our existence—which is especially vital when you feel like you are just running on autopilot.
How we practice
My sessions are designed to be flexible. We use breathwork to manage postpartum anxiety and simple 'Let Go' meditations to help you release the mental clutter that accumulates during the day. In our sessions, we discuss simple, daily habits, such as avoiding 'tamasic sleep' (heavy, unrefreshing rest) and incorporating gratitude even on the most difficult days.
We don't need fancy equipment for this. Whether it is using a dupatta for support or practicing on a corner of your bed, I teach you to adapt your environment so you can prioritize your mental and physical recovery. These practices are offered via live, interactive Zoom batches where I can offer real-time feedback, or in-person sessions in Koramangala and Electronic City for those who prefer hands-on guidance with sound therapy and alignment corrections.
My goal is simple: to help you feel like yourself again, step by step. We go at your pace, honoring both your needs and your baby’s, ensuring you have the tools to rest and recharge whenever you can find a moment.
