About this collection
Our studio in Jayanagar is a residential space dedicated to focused practice, kept free of distractions to allow for true 'sadhana'. Before every session, we start with an invocation to set the intent, and we enforce a strict 'no eraser' policy to help you build confidence by accepting your own strokes as they are.
We believe that the environment dictates the quality of your art. Our Jayanagar studio is a quiet, non-AC space with wooden drafting tables and simple, honest lighting, designed to remove the noise of a commercial classroom. Here, we prioritize the learning process over the outcome.
When we tell you not to use an eraser, it is because we want you to stop fearing mistakes. As our guru Kamath ji says, letting the wrong lines stay is how you find your own truth in a sketch. This philosophy applies to everything we teach, from anatomy and perspective to complex composition.
For those who prefer the open air, our sessions at Cubbon Park provide a different energy. There, the classroom is nature itself, and you learn to observe light, shadow, and movement as they happen. Whether you are a professional looking to sharpen your skills or a total beginner, you will find a supportive community here. We do not support competition; we support growth. We offer weekend and weekday batches, ensuring you can find a time that fits your life while remaining committed to the discipline of the craft.
Fine Arts Gurukul
We are not a regular art school. At Fine Arts Gurukul, we follow a traditional system where art is a 'sadhana'—a practice grounded in discipline and calm. Whether you are in our Jayanagar studio or sketching under the trees at Cubbon Park, you will find a space dedicated to honest creation and your personal growth.
