Step into our HSR Layout studio, a space where students of all ages experiment with colors, textures, and new techniques.

A tour of our studio, showcasing the diverse range of art created here, from paintings and crafts to portfolio pieces. This is a space for everyone to explore their creativity.

A student works on a still life painting of a metallic coffee pot, using her phone for reference. Our studio is a space for focused, individual learning.

A close up of a student painting a realistic tiger, using a photo reference to capture every detail of the fur and stripes.

My student and I work together on a large-scale floral mural for our sensory classroom, inspired by the whimsical art of Mary Blair.

The whole class gets involved in painting our studio mural. Collaborative projects like this build a wonderful sense of community.

A quick glimpse of the different art forms being taught in the studio at the same time, from traditional Kerala Murals to modern floral paintings.

About this collection

Every seat at our shared wooden tables is arranged for focused learning, but the vibe here is anything but stiff. Because we keep our batch sizes small, I can personally walk over to your easel to help you adjust your brush grip or fix a color blend right when you need it, rather than leaving you to struggle through a complex technique alone.

When you walk into BrainArt, the first thing you will notice is that we do not ask you to copy paintings from the internet. We prefer to break down what makes art tick. Whether you are a total beginner trying your first acrylic painting or an art school aspirant working on a portfolio, the studio is designed to be a functional, non-judgmental space for that growth.

Why Our Space Matters

Learning art is as much about the environment as it is about the technique. We have set up our HSR Layout studio to provide the essential basics—good lighting, fan-cooled comfort, and dedicated easel stations—so you do not have to worry about the logistics. All you need to bring is your curiosity.

How We Teach

Our approach is hands-on and structured. For those taking our monthly programs, we rotate between students to ensure you get specific feedback. If you join us for a weekend DIY workshop, you get a quick, finished project like a macrame wall hanging or a texture art piece to take home the same day. For our structured courses, such as Tanjore or folk art styles like Madhubani, we provide the detailed instruction needed for intricate lining and foil handling.

Who This Is For

We see everyone here: busy adults looking to de-stress after work, kids building motor skills through sensory play, and teens prepping for design college exams. You do not need to be 'talented' to join; you just need to be willing to get a little messy with paint. If you have been looking for an art community in Bengaluru, this is a place where you can learn at your own pace without the pressure to produce a masterpiece on day one.

I am Pavitra, and I started BrainArt because I believe everyone has a creative side that just needs the right encouragement to surface. We have built this studio to be a messy, happy, and non-judgmental space where you can finally pause, pick up a brush, and learn a skill without the pressure to be perfect.
