Our Martial Arts & Fitness Training Philosophy
I don't train you for the gym mirror. I train you to be your own bodyguard, blending ancient tradition with real-world practicality.
Our mission is to help you overcome limitations and unlock your potential. We train indoors and outdoors, adapting to every situation.
My training will make you stronger, fitter, and more confident. It's a transformation that goes beyond the physical.
If you have the will, I will find a way. I create a step-by-step training plan that is suitable for your individual strengths and goals.
Be your own bodyguard and rediscover yourself. Our training is about empowerment and finding the strength you never knew you had.
Some think martial arts are only for the young and fit. I disagree. At Fighting Fit, I believe everyone deserves to feel safe and empowered.
My Fighting Fit method is a blend of the most practical arts for self-defense. When you join one of my programs, you get the benefits of Kali, Krav Maga, Kickboxing, and more, all integrated into one effective system.

Meditation doesn't always mean you have to sit still. For a warrior, the focused practice of martial arts is a form of moving meditation.
About Our Training Philosophy
I don't teach you to pose in a gym mirror. I teach you to handle the unpredictable. When you train with me, we don't follow a rigid chart. We look at your current strength, your history, and your goals—whether you're 18 or 80—and we mix Krav Maga, Kali, and traditional Mudgar work until we find a system that makes you your own bodyguard.
Training for the Real World
Many gyms focus on looking good. At Fighting Fit, we focus on being effective. Real-life situations don't come with rules or referees. That is why I built a system that integrates different disciplines: Kali for weapon defense, Krav Maga for real-world survival, and Kickboxing for striking confidence. It is about adaptability.
Why I Mix Old and New
I believe in using the old ways to solve modern problems. I bring in traditional tools like Mudgar and Gada (Indian clubs) because they build functional strength and joint health that modern machines just cannot touch. We combine this with high-intensity drills on mini-trampolines or in the open air at Powai Forest. This isn't just exercise; it's a form of moving meditation.
A Plan That Fits You
I often hear people say they are too old, too stiff, or have too many past injuries to start martial arts. I disagree. If you have the will, I will find a way for you to train safely. I don't force you into a one-size-fits-all batch. Whether we are in the Bandra dojo or out in the forest for some Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), we work on your mechanics, your posture, and your awareness until you feel solid inside out.
This is not a temporary fitness fix. It is a long-term shift in how you carry yourself through life.
Hemaal Shah
I am Hemaal Shah, and for 28 years, I have been teaching that you don't need to be a young athlete to defend yourself. Fighting Fit isn't a gym; it is where we train the mind to handle life's battles, whether that is on the busy streets of Mumbai or in the quiet of Powai Forest.
