A collection of our most significant projects, from narrative-driven bars to immersive retail galleries, where every detail serves a specific purpose.

This is Jollygunj, a bar in Bangalore where I brought the spirit of old Calcutta to life. This expansive view showcases the multi-level layout and grand scale, centered around custom lighting fixtures that create a warm, inviting glow throughout the venue. The design focuses on creating different zones and moods within one cohesive space.

A living room vignette from the Ventura furniture gallery in Hyderabad. I designed the store as a series of 'mini homes' to help customers visualize the pieces in a real setting. This scene combines organic modern furniture, a bold geometric rug, and layered wood wall panels to create a warm, sophisticated atmosphere.

The 'Palate Cleanser,' an immersive art installation I designed as a transitional passage within a retail space. This sculptural illusion uses foam, mirrors, and silver PU to create a sensory experience that resets the visitor's perspective, demonstrating my belief in using design to evoke emotion and create memorable moments.

An open-air shower in the GAIA project in Chennai, designed to blend seamlessly with its tropical surroundings. The play of light through the slatted ceiling and the use of natural stone and lush greenery exemplify my approach to creating spaces that feel both luxurious and deeply connected to nature.

The heart of Jollygunj, the grand central bar. The custom-designed, canopy-like light fixtures are the focal point, illuminating the patterned floor tiles and extensive back bar. This element was crucial to the project's narrative, evoking the charm and grandeur of a bygone era.

A powder room in the Ventura gallery that showcases a bold approach to materials. I contrasted the organic, heavy veins of the marble vanity with graphic, multi-patterned mosaic tiles on the wall. It's an example of how I use unexpected combinations to create visual interest and a sense of quiet luxury.

A video showcasing my design process for a unique bar in collaboration with Bombay Sapphire. Inspired by the architecture of Frank Gehry, I used malleable iridescent sheets and perforated metal to translate a complex structure into a functional and artistic bar design, highlighting the brand's signature blue.

About Featured

We approach every commercial project by first identifying its narrative core, whether that is the old-world charm of a heritage city or the quiet luxury of a modern gallery. This involves balancing custom lighting, raw textures, and purposeful spatial planning to ensure the environment functions as well as it looks.

In our bar and restaurant designs, like the Jollygunj project, we treat the venue as a stage for storytelling. This involves structural layouts that accommodate high-traffic flows while maintaining intimate seating zones, utilizing custom-fabricated lighting to define the mood. For showrooms such as Ventura Gallery, we move away from traditional product displays. We build non-linear floor plans that mimic the flow of a home, encouraging visitors to move through different vignettes. By using architectural elements like curved walls and transitional voids, we guide customer attention without visual clutter. Our technical approach integrates MEP planning with artistic finishes. Whether installing river-washed stone or custom brass inlay flooring, we supervise the execution to ensure design fidelity. We handle the complexity of site conditions, from structural mezzanines to industrial acoustic treatments, allowing our clients to focus on their operations. Projects like the Bombay Sapphire Creative Lab bar allow us to test unconventional materials. By combining malleable iridescent sheets with rigid, perforated metal, we push the boundaries of what a temporary installation can achieve.

We are Farah and Dhaval. Since 2012, we have been crafting spaces that hold a story rather than just filling a floor plan. If you value intent, texture, and a sense of quiet luxury, we should talk.
