I use a smart hybrid method for my backdrops: a base of dense, high-quality artificial flowers provides full coverage and structure, which I then overlay with fresh seasonal roses, orchids, and tuberoses. This keeps your costs manageable while ensuring the stage looks vibrant, fresh, and luxurious in your photos.
My Approach to Stage Decor
I build stages to handle the scale of a wedding reception while staying focused on the details. Whether you need a 20ft backdrop or a massive 30ft wall, I use heavy-duty truss systems to ensure the structure is safe and looks seamless. My goal is to ensure the decor fits your venue perfectly, whether it is an indoor hall or a tented outdoor space.
What Goes Into the Setup
- Lighting: Lighting is often ignored, but it is what makes the flowers pop. I use 6 to 8 LED Par cans to wash the backdrop in your theme colors and 2 to 4 profile spots to highlight the couple clearly for photography.
- Seating: I offer varied seating options, from classic gold and silver-finished Maharaja sofas to specific theme chairs, ensuring the couple stands out against the backdrop.
- Details: I include elements like crystal hangings, custom neon signage, and even cold fire pyrotechnics for a dramatic entrance if requested. The flooring is always clean, typically using fresh red or white carpeting to define the stage area.
