Nature Play and Sensory Workshops for Kids in Bengaluru
Let your little ones trade screens for sunshine. We explore, forage, and get our hands dirty with mud art, flower pounding, and sensory play in the great outdoors.
Play is a child's most natural way of learning. In my nature play sessions, we encourage kids to explore textures, colors, and their own creativity by interacting directly with natural elements like mud, water, and leaves.
We had a wonderful play date with nature, making beautiful crowns and bracelets from flowers and leaves. It’s a simple, joyful activity that connects children to the beauty around them and lets their creativity shine.

A beautiful moment of connection as a family works together on a flower pounding art piece at our Cubbon Park session. These workshops are a wonderful way for parents and children to bond through shared creative play.
With a wooden mallet in hand, this young artist is discovering the magic of Tatakizome. The focus and joy in her expression capture the essence of our hands-on sensory activities for children.

For Earth Day, we celebrated with a special nature play workshop. The children made beautiful handprint art, a gentle and fun reminder that we all have a role in caring for our planet.

I love guiding little hands as they discover new ways to create. Here, we're using a natural stamp to make patterns with plant-based pigments, a fun introduction to printmaking for young children.
About Nature Play for Little Explorers
We get messy, and that is exactly the point. When your child is smashing marigolds to see the colour bleed onto a cloth or digging their hands into wet mud, they are learning textures and science faster than they ever could with a tablet. These sessions are about embracing the chaos of nature and letting it spark genuine curiosity.
Learning Through Play
Children are natural explorers. In my workshops, I step back to let them lead the way. We swap books for bark and screens for soil. Whether we are hunting for specific leaf shapes or carefully hammering flowers to transfer their natural pigments—a technique known as Tatakizome—every action is a sensory lesson.
Why Get Outside?
Bengaluru has wonderful pockets of green, and I bring the studio to them. We work in parks, cafes, and open spaces where children can breathe fresh air and observe how colours actually live in the world. This isn't about creating perfect art; it is about building a connection.
What to Expect
- Sensory Engagement: From mud painting to foraging for natural treasures, we engage all five senses.
- Screen-Free Focus: Everything we do is tactile. We use flowers, leaves, and kitchen waste to create art.
- Parent-Child Bonding: Parents are encouraged to join in. It is a shared experience where you can learn alongside your child.
I travel to locations across the city to set up these sessions. If you have a group of curious little explorers, let's pick a date and find a patch of grass to make some magic.
