Why do airplanes have wings like birds? I encourage questions like these to spark curiosity and help children connect science, nature, and innovation. My purpose-based learning approach nurtures this innate wonder.
Even the smallest or silliest questions are filled with curiosity. At Ekya Nava, I nurture that curiosity, because every "why" leads to learning and helps young minds make the biggest discoveries.
My Pathway of Design empowers students to innovate through four key strands: Industrial Design, Geometric Construction, Communication Design, and Artisanal Craft. This video provides a visual overview of this creative journey.

About Our Learning Spaces & Philosophy
When you step into The Makery, you won’t see rows of desks. Instead, you will find workbenches stocked with raw materials like wood, electronics, and clay. It is here that students move from abstract theory to tangible building, turning a cardboard prototype into a functioning model under the guidance of our workshop facilitators.
Architecture for Discovery
At Ekya Nava, we believe that the physical environment is an essential part of the curriculum. We do not use conventional classrooms because they do not reflect the dynamic, collaborative nature of the modern world. Our campus in Panathur is divided into zones that support different cognitive states, ensuring every child finds the right environment to thrive.
The Makery
This is where our Design and Making pathway comes to life. It is not an art room, nor is it a physics lab. It is a space for synthesis. Here, students learn to combine electronics, woodwork, and prototyping. By using real tools and materials, they develop the patience to iterate on their designs and the resilience to learn from failure when a prototype does not work the first time.
The Atelier
For us, the creative process is as important as the outcome. The Atelier is a sanctuary where students explore painting, clay modeling, and printmaking. It is designed to be quiet and contemplative, allowing children to focus on fine motor skills and self-expression. We prioritize process over perfection, giving students the space to find their artistic voice without pressure.
Montessori Early Years
We recognize that early years require a different kind of structure. Our Montessori environment is intentionally minimalist, fostering independence and confidence in our youngest learners. Every shelf and material is placed to encourage self-directed exploration, helping children build a deep, intrinsic love for learning that lasts long after they leave our halls.
Why Purpose-Based?
Our philosophy is simple: school should be a place to build, not just a place to memorize. Whether it is our library, which fosters research and independent thought, or our open-concept shared spaces, every corner of Ekya Nava is meant to provoke questions. We are here to help your child connect science, nature, and innovation, ensuring they leave not just with a grade, but with a deeper understanding of how the world works.
Ekya Nava
We started Ekya Nava because the traditional way of schooling didn't fit the world our kids are walking into. We wanted to build a place where children could actually create, mess up, and try again, supported by an environment that sparks real curiosity. We do not just teach students, we work with families to grow together.
