About Mind & Body: Yoga, Fitness & Wellbeing

We do not believe in drill-based physical education. When your child steps onto our mats for yoga or enters the martial arts studio, they are learning to regulate their energy. Whether it is the calm of International Yoga Day or the discipline of a martial arts form, these sessions are structured to help students understand the connection between their breath, their focus, and their physical performance.

Building Resilience Through Movement

At Ekya Nava, we view physical activity as a pathway to emotional regulation and self-awareness. Our Mindful Performers Program and weekend fitness workshops are not about competitive sports or standard exercises. They are about providing a space for children to connect with their emotions, understand their physical capabilities, and build the discipline required for a focused life.

Core Areas of Focus

  • Yoga and Mindfulness: We host events like International Yoga Day to introduce students to the benefits of slowing down. These sessions teach children how to reset their nervous system and approach their day with clarity rather than anxiety.
  • Martial Arts: We incorporate martial arts forms to teach children the value of respect, discipline, and body control. This is a practical approach to building confidence, allowing students to channel their energy into productive, purposeful movement.
  • Team-Based Fitness: Our sports sessions, including football and group games, prioritize teamwork and friendship over winning. By focusing on collaboration, we help children develop social skills alongside physical coordination.
