About this collection

When you look at our featured work, you will notice that we do not start with a predetermined style. We start with the site. Whether it is the steep gradients of a Himalayan resort or the sacred topography of a riverside ghat, our process relies on reading the terrain first. This approach prioritizes passive cooling and material efficiency long before we sketch the final facade, ensuring the building functions as well as it looks.

Our Design Philosophy

For us, architecture is the practice of listening. Since 1989, we have approached every site, whether a government office in New Delhi or a mixed-use development in Kerala, as a unique set of constraints and opportunities. We do not view buildings as isolated objects but as components of a larger ecosystem.

Sustainability as a Metric

Sustainability is not a stylistic choice for us. It is a technical discipline. We utilize our proprietary Design Sustainability Matrix to measure the real-world impact of our decisions. From the LEED Platinum certification of the Atal Akshaya Urja Bhawan to the passive cooling strategies at our hospitality projects, we design for efficiency, water neutrality, and energy resilience. We believe that a responsible building is one that performs efficiently throughout its lifecycle.

Adaptive Reuse and Context

We often find that the most sustainable building is one that already exists. Our work on projects like the Patna Power Museum demonstrates our commitment to adaptive reuse, preserving industrial heritage while injecting new programmatic life. In civic projects like the Varanasi Ghats, we balance the sensitive nature of historic rituals with the need for modern, dignified, and accessible infrastructure.

The Process of Integration

Our studio operates at the intersection of master planning, interior design, and structural engineering. By integrating MEP coordination and clash detection through BIM at the concept stage, we minimize onsite wastage and ensure that architectural intent survives the construction phase. We invite you to explore these projects to understand how our technical approach translates into functional, human-centric environments.
