About Hospitality & Civic Architecture
Building for people and place is at the heart of what we do. Since 1989, our journey in hospitality and civic architecture has always started with listening - to the land, to the culture, and to those who'll use the space. For us, it’s not just about putting up walls. It’s about creating spaces that feel right for their environment and the people around them.
Our Take on Hospitality & Civic Spaces
- We believe in ‘sustainable luxury’ - where modern comfort meets local tradition, and nothing feels out of place.
- Every project, whether a hotel or a public plaza, is shaped by its context. We pay attention to the climate, the local vibe, and what the space truly needs.
Recent Projects
- At Hyatt Regency, Lumbini, we aimed for a sense of nirmal (calm) with courtyards and light-filled rooms, keeping everything in sync with the landscape.
- In Kerala’s KGA Group project, we blended a hotel with a buzzing public plaza, featuring Ola Kuda (umbrella) shelters to celebrate local culture.
- For civic work, like the Varanasi Ghats, it was all about balancing respect for rituals with dignity and better access.
- The Patna Power Museum is a personal favorite - turning an old power plant into a lively, adaptive reuse architecture destination.
How We Work
- We let the site lead the way, always keeping sustainability as the backbone.
- Landscape isn’t just decoration for us; it’s part of the building’s soul.
- At the end of the day, we’re just people who care about community - from sharing Ganpati Bappa Morya! moments to designing spaces that make everyday life a bit better.

My Story
Started out in '89, and honestly, we’re more than just architects now – we’re Edificians. Our studio’s got its own vibe: there’s mentorship, loads of long chats, and yes, some marathon workdays. But we break it up with sports, festivals, and good food – Onam sadhya, Ganesh Chaturthi aarti, you name it. For us, work isn’t just about buildings, it’s about building our own tribe.
My Work
All-Round Design Services - We do Workplace, Healthcare, Residential, Hospitality, Retail, Cultural, and Urban projects. Pretty much everything.
Design That Listens - Every site’s got its own story. Like brick Jaali self-shading in Rajasthan, or keeping Vizag’s trees and slopes.
Rooted in Sustainability - Net-positive energy buildings aren’t just a buzzword for us. We use our own Design Sustainability Matrix to measure real impact.
Future-Ready Spaces - Universal grid planning lets us expand campuses in phases, so nothing gets stuck or disrupted.
Human-Centric Communities - Built a housing project with an elevated pedestrian park – it’s all about spaces for people to pause, meet, connect.
