We envision hospitals as ecosystems of healing, where architecture and nature converge. This design for Peerless Hospital in Kolkata features a vertical green skin, creating a biophilic facade that offers visual relief and an improved patient experience, demonstrating our commitment to sensory and human-centric design.
A patient's environment is integral to their recovery. In this private room at AIG Hospitals, we prioritized natural light and expansive city views, creating a serene, comfortable space that feels less clinical and more like a place of rest and healing.
The Cancer Care Centre in Ranchi showcases our approach to scalable healthcare infrastructure. The design integrates the facility with landscaped public areas, creating open, accessible green spaces that contribute to a healthier, recuperative atmosphere for patients and their families.
Our design for the AIG Hospitals campus expansion reflects a commitment to creating comprehensive healthcare environments. The architecture balances monumental scale with patient-first principles, ensuring the facility is both a landmark of medical excellence and a place of compassionate care.
This chemotherapy facility at the Cancer Care Centre in Ranchi was designed to prioritize patient comfort during treatment. We ensured the space is well-lit with natural light from large windows and organized with ample room between stations, reducing the stress often associated with clinical environments.
We believe the spaces between destinations are central to the emotional landscape of a hospital. This waiting area uses biophilic patterns and comfortable seating to create a moment of pause and psychological relief, transforming a transitional space into a calming anchor.
This aerial view captures the scale of our work at AIG Hospitals, where we are adding over 550 beds across three new towers. The project involves complex, multidisciplinary coordination to integrate cutting-edge medical technology within a design that serves the community with purpose and precision.
We are proud to contribute our expertise to global healthcare dialogues. Our collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on their "Guidance on Setting Up a Comprehensive Cancer Centre" publication solidifies our position as thought leaders in healthcare architecture.

About Healthcare Facility Design

Spaces That Heal, Not Just House

We’ve been designing buildings for India since 1989, and for us, a hospital is way more than just walls and beds. We look at every healthcare project as a chance to create healing environments in hospitals - places where stress can take a backseat and comfort steps forward. It’s about empathy, clarity, and making sure everyone feels cared for, not just treated.

How We Make It Work

  • Nature indoors: We love bringing in greenery, natural light hospital architecture, and open courtyards. It’s not just for show - it genuinely helps people feel better, faster.
  • The in-between bits: Corridors and lobbies matter. We use soothing colours, daylight, and layouts that actually make sense, so folks don’t get lost or feel overwhelmed.
  • Flow and clarity: Hospitals can be confusing. We lean on colour-coded floors and clear paths to make navigation easy, cutting down on anxiety for everyone.

What We Build

We’ve worked on everything from huge multi-specialty campuses to modular healthcare infrastructure that can grow as the community needs more. We go deep with cancer care, maternity, paediatrics, and interiors that keep the healing vibe alive in every corner.

A Bit of Us

It’s not just a job - it’s seva. We’re proud to shape spaces that serve people, whether that’s a 20-story oncology hospital with patient-centric hospital design, or a health city inspired by the seven chakras. For us, building for health is a responsibility we take to heart.

My Story

Started out in '89, and honestly, we’re more than just architects now – we’re Edificians. Our studio’s got its own vibe: there’s mentorship, loads of long chats, and yes, some marathon workdays. But we break it up with sports, festivals, and good food – Onam sadhya, Ganesh Chaturthi aarti, you name it. For us, work isn’t just about buildings, it’s about building our own tribe.

My Work

All-Round Design Services - We do Workplace, Healthcare, Residential, Hospitality, Retail, Cultural, and Urban projects. Pretty much everything.

Design That Listens - Every site’s got its own story. Like brick Jaali self-shading in Rajasthan, or keeping Vizag’s trees and slopes.

Rooted in Sustainability - Net-positive energy buildings aren’t just a buzzword for us. We use our own Design Sustainability Matrix to measure real impact.

Future-Ready Spaces - Universal grid planning lets us expand campuses in phases, so nothing gets stuck or disrupted.

Human-Centric Communities - Built a housing project with an elevated pedestrian park – it’s all about spaces for people to pause, meet, connect.
