A fun way to spend the weekend is by getting creative. Our workshops offer a chance to appreciate nature through art and get your hands messy with clay.
About Creative Workshops: Art & Clay
These sessions happen in an open-air rustic shed at our Chhatarpur farm, not a climate-controlled studio. You will be working directly with the mitti (soil) while surrounded by the actual crops you see in our gallery, so expect a bit of dust and a lot of fresh air while you create.
Our approach to art is simple: learning by doing. We do not believe in strict academic formats. Instead, we host hands-on sessions where the environment itself plays a part in your process.
What to Expect
Whether you are joining our 'Nature Appreciation via Art' sessions or our 'Clay Glam' pottery classes, you are here to get messy and observant.
- Clay & Pottery: We focus on the fundamentals of hand-building techniques like pinching and coiling. You do not need previous experience to create something functional. We provide all the clay and tools, and you take home what you make.
- Nature Art: Guided by artists like Kanika Gahlaut, these workshops are about capturing the farm's landscape on canvas. We encourage you to look at the trees, the soil, and the light differently.
The Setting
All workshops take place at Amarkanan Farm in Chhatarpur. This is a working farm, so the setup is rustic. We use communal worktables in our semi-open bamboo structures. It is a space designed to help you slow down. We provide basic tea and coffee to keep the energy up, but the main focus remains on your craft and the peaceful surroundings. These sessions are open to all age groups, making them a great way to spend a Saturday morning if you are looking to escape the city noise for a few hours.
