Skip the usual movie night. Join me in my Pitampura studio to get messy, creative, and bond over the pottery wheel with a unique hands-on experience.

This Valentine's Day special captures the romance of a pottery date. Working together on the wheel is an intimate and fun experience, perfect for creating memories and a unique bond.

Here's another look at a clay date, perfect for Valentine's week or any special occasion. I guide couples and best friends through the process of making something beautiful together on the potter's wheel.

About A Creative Date for Two

It is a 2-hour session where the focus is entirely on the experience rather than perfection. You will spend the time learning to center clay and pull walls on the potter's wheel, and while the clay gets messy, it is one of the most relaxing ways to connect with someone. You do not need any prior skills, just an open mind and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

What We Do During the Session

When you come to my Pitampura studio, I guide you through the basics of wheel throwing and hand-building. This is not a strict classroom setting. It is an interactive, tactile experience where you and your partner get to work on individual wheels.

We start with the clay preparation and centering, which is the most crucial part. I am right there to help you if the clay wobbles or your hands get tired. You will try to make basic shapes like small bowls or mugs.

The Choice: Just the Experience or Keepsakes

I offer two ways to approach your date session:

  • The Therapeutic Experience: This is for those who want to focus on the process. You get to play with clay, enjoy the time, and take photos, but the clay is recycled at the end of the session. You leave with memories, not a ceramic piece.
  • The Keepsake Session: If you want to take your creation home, I provide the post-processing service. This involves bisque firing and glaze firing for 1 to 2 pieces per person. These pieces become food-safe, permanent ceramic ware that you can pick up from the studio in about 5 to 6 weeks.

Why Choose a Pottery Date?

Pottery is slower than the fast-paced life we live in Delhi. It forces you to pause, focus on the clay, and communicate without screens. Whether it is an anniversary, a Valentine's week surprise, or just a weekend plan, it is a creative way to build a real bond.

I am Dipti, and I have spent over two decades getting my hands dirty with clay. I believe pottery is a form of therapy, and I love creating a space where couples can slow down, learn something new, and actually create a tangible memory together.
