Competition is where the training meets reality. See my students in action at state and national ITF Taekwondo events, from intense sparring matches to technical pattern performances.

Coaching one of my students from the sidelines during a sparring match. My role is to guide them, keep them focused, and help them adapt their strategy in real-time.

Two young competitors facing off before their sparring match begins, with the referee ready. This moment of focus and respect is a core tenet of Taekwondo.

This video montage shows me coaching my students during competitions. From ringside guidance to pre-match preparation, I am personally invested in every fight.

About In the Competition Arena

Winning a medal at a state or national tournament does not happen by accident. In the ring, it comes down to split-second decisions and holding your ground when the pressure is high. My students spend months on specific sparring drills and pattern refinement before they ever step onto the mat. If you want to know what it takes to perform under the eyes of the judges, look closely at how we prep for the next big competition.

At Delhi Tigers, we treat every competition as a test of character. It is not just about the win, but the discipline required to get there. Whether it is individual patterns (Tul) or full-contact sparring (Matsogi), my students are prepared for the reality of the ring.

Why Competition Training Matters

We focus on what the judges actually look for:

  • Sparring (Matsogi): We drill timing, ring management, and power generation. My students use safety equipment to mimic real tournament pressure, ensuring they are ready to think fast when the match starts.
  • Patterns (Tul): It is about more than just moving. We drill sine-wave rhythm, correct stance, and power for every single movement. This is where we sharpen the basics into winning form.

Our Results

We do not just show up. In 2022, my students secured 8 Golds, 4 Silvers, and 3 Bronzes at the Nationals. We train at our Najafgarh dojo with a specific focus on weight control, competition psychology, and HIIT for stamina. If you are looking for a place to train that values sweat and consistency over everything else, this is where you belong. We provide the mentorship and the technical syllabus you need to move from beginner to state-level medalist.
