Every sketch tells a human story. I capture moments in pencil and pair them with reflections on life, memory, and the unspoken struggles we carry.

A sketch of women walking, paired with a reflection on the nature of attraction.

A drawing of a person holding an umbrella, accompanied by a thought on friendship.

Two women sitting on a step, with a caption about understanding love and attachment.

A street vendor scene with a philosophical observation on happiness and sorrow.

A poignant sketch of a family in a hospital room, reflecting on life experience.

A portrait of a woman, paired with a thought on how experience, not words, reveals character.

A sketch of a group of men talking, with a reflection on overcoming life's challenges.

A drawing of a group of people, with a caption about living life on one's own terms.

A close-up sketch of a hand holding a bag, reflecting on the role of money.

A sketch of a couple sitting apart, with a caption about the state of the nation.

About Art & Aphorism: A Visual Philosophy

I create these works on archival-grade, acid-free paper using professional graphite and charcoal to ensure they endure. If you commission a session for your event, I provide an interactive, meditative experience where guests receive an original sketch accompanied by a hand-written observation, turning a simple party favor into a tangible piece of visual philosophy.

Merging visual art with the written word is a practice rooted in my formal training, where observation became a way to understand the subconscious. These sketches are not posed portraits. They are honest documentations of the human condition in real-time. Whether I am sketching in a busy Mumbai train station or at an intimate corporate dinner in Bhubaneswar, the process remains an exercise in capturing a fleeting moment, a gesture, or a pause.

The Hindi aphorism that follows is the final layer. It is an attempt to articulate the underlying emotion or 'struggle' present in the visual.

For Your Event

For weddings, galas, or brand activations, this offers a deeper level of engagement. Guests watch the creation of art rather than just receiving a product. I bring my own portable easel and battery-operated lighting to ensure I can work effectively in any environment, from dim hotel banquet halls to outdoor settings.

Technical Details

  • Mediums: Professional-grade charcoal, graphite, and Conté crayons.
  • Surface: Acid-free cartridge paper (140 GSM) that prevents yellowing over time, or textured surfaces for premium events.

  • Logistics: I travel across India for projects and am equipped to set up in any venue, whether a private home or a large commercial space.
