Live Art for Events and Venues
I transform the energy of your gathering into tangible art. Whether it is a formal gala or an intimate wedding, I capture the authentic essence of your guests through spontaneous, real-time pencil sketches.
The process of live sketching on a napkin at the Six Senses Fort Barwara. This demonstrates how a simple, elegant piece of art can be created in any setting, providing a memorable experience for guests.
The moment a guest receives their finished napkin portrait. The value of live sketching at events lies in this personal interaction and the creation of a unique, hand-drawn event keepsake.

Interacting with guests after presenting them with a watercolor sketch. These conversations are an integral part of the experience, connecting the art directly to the people and the place.

About Live Art for Events & Venues
When planning for your event, consider the atmosphere you wish to curate. My standard 3-hour sessions produce realistic pencil portraits on archival paper, which serve as lasting wedding keepsakes. For more intimate settings like sit-down dinners or luxury brand activations, I offer table-side sketching on textured paper or cloth napkins, which fosters a direct, conversational dialogue between the guests and my creative process.
My approach to live sketching is rooted in the discipline I acquired during my time at the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai. I do not view myself merely as an entertainer, but as an observational recorder of human expression. At events, I function as a visual reporter, capturing gestures and fleeting emotions that often go unnoticed.
My Working Methodology
My process is designed to be unobtrusive yet impactful. For larger gatherings, I establish a station with a portable easel and professional lighting, allowing guests to observe the portrait as it takes shape. For events hosted at venues like The Taj Mahal Palace or private boutique hotels, I adapt my medium to the environment—using acid-free cartridge paper for traditional portraits or, in the case of exclusive dining events, working directly on cloth napkins.
Logistics and Preparation
To ensure the quality of the work remains consistent with my professional standards, I require minimal infrastructure: two chairs and a small side table. I arrive prepared with all necessary tools, including fixative spray to ensure the longevity of the sketches I present to your guests. Because each piece is hand-drawn, a single portrait takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes. This allows me to engage with the subject while maintaining the focus required to capture their character. Whether you are hosting an event in Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, or elsewhere in India, my goal is to leave your attendees with a personalized piece of art that documents their presence at your celebration.
