The Trinity Series: Intensive Dance Workshops
I take my signature Trinity Series—a raw, high-energy fusion of Jazz, Dancehall, and Afro—to studios across India. If you are ready to push past your comfort zone, this is where you need to be.
The Trinity Series in Delhi was pure fire. Three days of non-stop energy. This is what it feels like when you survive the madness. You’ll hear from students about the mix of Jazz, Dancehall, and Afro, and see the vibe for yourself.
The after-hours vibe in Mumbai is something else. This is from a workshop at Eight Studios, dancing with some incredible young talent. I bring this energy to every city I teach in.
Dancing with a friend after years during my Trinity Series in Chennai. I managed this whole routine with a bulging disk, but the energy of the community keeps me going. This is the vibe you can expect.
A look at the 'TaTaTa' choreography I taught during the Trinity Series in Bangalore. The energy in this studio was electric, with pink lights setting the mood for a powerful Dancehall session.
My first time teaching in Chennai at Tattva studio. This is a clip of my choreography to 'Baby' by Rema. I hope to bring my workshops here more often.
A solo performance of my 'Show Me Love' choreography, which I taught during the Trinity Series in Bangalore. This piece is all about sharp movements and musicality.
Dancing with the amazing Shiza during my Trinity Series in Bangalore. This is another take on my 'Baby' choreography, showing how different dancers bring their own flavor to it.
About this collection
Expect 6-8 hours of floor time over a single weekend, packed with intense warm-ups and technical drills. This isn't a relaxed hobby class—we focus on texture and musicality, and yes, if you're late, you are doing the burpees. Come prepared to sweat, mess up, and get real feedback, not just applause.
The Trinity Series is where I push dancers to move past 'good enough'. We cover three distinct styles—Jazz, Dancehall, and Afro—in an intensive format. The goal isn't just to learn steps; it’s about musicality and finding your own texture within the choreography.
Why these three styles? They demand different types of energy and control. We spend serious time on isolation drills during the warm-up, ensuring your core is locked in before we even touch the choreography. Whether I'm hosting at IFBC in Delhi, Eight Studios in Mumbai, or Tattva in Chennai, the standard remains the same. You will get frustrated, and you will probably want to quit halfway through. That’s the point. If you aren't struggling, you aren't growing.
I prioritize direct, actionable feedback over sugar-coating, so bring an open mind and plenty of water. The workshop structure includes:
- Deep-dive technical sessions focused on body lines and stamina.
- High-energy choreography blocks that test your pickup speed.
- Post-class video sessions to review your form and get featured on our feed.
This isn't for the dancer looking to post a quick reel; it's for anyone ready to put in the work. If you’ve got that 'mujhe karna hai' (I have to do it) drive, you’ll fit right in.
Donny
I’m Donny, and I’ve been choreographing and coaching for over 20 years. I don’t teach for the applause; I teach to help you find that same liberation I found on the dance floor. If you're ready to swap comfort zones for growth, I'll see you in class.
