Playing at festivals like GIDC and Vamos Goa is where I feel most at home. I love bringing that high-energy, community-driven rhythm to every dance floor I touch.

About The Festival Circuit

Festivals aren't just about playing music; they are about understanding the energy shift in a room full of passionate dancers. At events like GIDC or Vamos Goa, I don't just hit play. I mix sets that respect the rhythm of the floor, using live percussion and precise track selection to bridge the gap between Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba for hours on end.

When I am behind the decks at a national dance festival, my goal is to keep the flow going. A festival set is fundamentally different from a club night. You are playing for dancers who know their stuff, so the technicality of the music matters. I focus on polyrhythms, musicality, and transitions that make sense for both On1 and On2 dancers.

My approach relies on three core pillars:

  1. Reading the Floor: I watch the crowd constantly. If the energy dips during a Bachata set, I know exactly which track to pivot to next to get people moving again.

  2. Live Elements: I often bring my Guiro or Cowbell to the console. These live percussion accents add a layer of engagement that standard digital mixing lacks. It turns a DJ set into a performance.

  3. Musical Diversity: I don't just stick to the hits. I dive into Salsa Romantica, deep Kizomba tracks, and rhythmic Mambo to keep the soundscape varied and interesting.

Whether I am at a large-scale event like Vamos Goa or a smaller, intimate social in Mumbai, I apply this same 'festival-grade' focus to every set. If you are planning an event that needs a DJ who actually understands dance, let's talk about the specific vibe you want to create.

I’m DJ Jude. If you’ve seen me at a party, I’m probably grinning behind the console or on the floor, vibing with everyone. I’m always excited to bring that same festival energy to your private event.
