About Mumbai's Khar Social Party
I personally select every track for these socials, ensuring we balance high-energy Salsa tracks with smooth Bachata and Kizomba flows. The floor at Khar Social is a dedicated space for dancers, so you will find plenty of room for both complex partner work and free-flowing social dancing. Come early if you want to get some practice in before the peak energy kicks in later in the night.
What to Expect
My Khar Social parties are the heartbeat of my work in Mumbai. Every first and third Monday, we turn this venue into a hub for the local Afro-Latin dance community. You will not find commercial Top 40 mixes here. I focus strictly on authentic Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba, mixing tracks that cater to both 'On 1' and 'On 2' dancers.
The Vibe
I started these nights to build a space where the music dictates the movement. You will hear deep cuts of Salsa Romantica mixed with modern Bachata beats. Beginners are always welcome; many regulars started their journey right here. If you are unsure about the steps, do not worry. The environment is casual and non-judgmental. My goal is to make sure every person who steps onto the floor feels the rhythm, not just hears it.
Why Monday Nights
I chose these dates because I believe you should be able to shake off the start of the week with some movement. It is a fantastic way to meet fellow dancers in the city, exchange tips, and simply enjoy the culture. Whether you are a seasoned pro looking to practice your footwork or someone just curious about Latin dance, the door is open.
