Being on a lineup for a festival like PIDC or Bailar Conmigo is about more than just playing tracks. It is about holding the energy of the room for hundreds of dancers, knowing exactly when to drop a classic Salsa Romantica tune or ramp up the speed for a Kizomba set to keep the connection on the floor alive.
When I step up to the console at a national festival, my goal is simple: ensure the music never stops and the energy never dips. Whether I am sharing the stage with fellow DJs at PIDC or bringing my Mumbai sound to a Bangalore weekender, the process is always the same. It starts with reading the room, observing the dancers, and building a playlist that flows from high-energy Salsa to the smooth, rhythmic depths of Bachata and Kizomba.
Collaborating with event organizers is a huge part of what I do. I do not just show up and play; I coordinate with the run-of-show, sync with the lighting cues, and often jump on the mic to guide the crowd. For private parties or larger festivals, this means ensuring that every announcement is on point and every transition is seamless.
I am deeply committed to the Afro-Latin community in India. Being part of the circuit—from Mumbai’s local socials to the biggest stages in Delhi, Pune, and Goa—has allowed me to refine my ear for what makes a dance floor tick.
