About Festivals & Major Events
I do not just show up and hit play. For big stages and festivals, my prep is intense. I am mapping out the set to hit that sweet spot between deep house, hip-hop, and afro beats. If you want a predictable, static set, I am not the guy. I am there to push the tempo and read the vibe of the crowd in real-time, because festivals are not the place to play it safe.
Playing massive events is a different beast compared to an intimate club night. At venues like the Indian Sneaker Convention or India Cocktail Week, the crowd is diverse and the energy changes every ten minutes. My approach to festival sets is rooted in what I call 'genre-fluid' selection. I am reading the room constantly. If the crowd needs more bounce, I am pivoting to hip-hop or Afro house. If they are ready to zone out, I drop into some deep house or techno.
When booking me for major events, keep in mind I travel light with just my headphones and USBs. My rider is focused on getting the best sound possible. I usually require industry-standard Pioneer CDJ 3000s and a high-quality mixer. If the venue is large, I will work with your sound team during the soundcheck to make sure the audio is not just loud, but clean.
