Dhurii is more than a dance studio. Explore the heart of our community, hear from our students, and see why we choose to move, heal, and grow together.

Our founder, Aastha Gulati, shares why Dhurii is a safe space. It was created with the hope that everyone could feel safe to express themselves, be themselves, and find a welcoming, inclusive community.

Aastha discusses how we envision growth for everyone who comes to Dhurii. We cater to different needs and intentions, offering various levels from beginner to advanced, certification courses, and performance batches.

How do we make people feel heard? Aastha shares her intention to create an approachable and responsive environment, where students are encouraged to ask questions and share feedback, knowing their voice matters.

The voices of our performers sharing their vulnerable and transformative experiences creating "The Lost Diaries." This is a testament to the safe space we cultivate, where artists can explore and heal through their craft.

A look back at our year, filled with joy, growth, and connection. From heartfelt healing events to our pedagogy students becoming teachers, we are so grateful for every soul who moved and grew with us.

Dhurii is a space to move, heal, and grow. This montage showcases the variety of activities that happen here, from dance and wellness to workshops and product shoots, all within a safe and communal atmosphere.

A heartfelt throwback to Mélange, capturing the stories of courage, vulnerability, and joy from our student performers. This video collage shows their journey from early morning rehearsals to shining on stage.

About Our Community's Voice

I personally invite you to reach out if you feel hesitant about joining a class. We do not just teach steps, we encourage you to send us videos for feedback or ask questions if you are struggling. Whether you are a total beginner looking to find your flow or someone wanting to explore deeper somatic work, I want to hear from you.

We believe movement is not about rigid perfection, but about honest connection. In a world that often demands you to look or act a certain way, Dhurii was founded on a simple premise: come as you are. Our community thrives because we prioritize safety and vulnerability over status. You will see this ethos in our Uncut sessions, where artists share works in progress without fear of judgment, and in our student-led Mélange showcases, where the focus is on personal growth rather than final applause.

We keep our batches diverse, offering everything from rigorous performance training for those ready for the stage, to spontaneous movement classes for those just looking to reconnect with their bodies. Our instructors are here to guide, not to judge. If you have questions about which level suits you, or if you feel nervous about stepping into a studio for the first time, share that with us. We view every interaction, from a WhatsApp message asking for feedback to a late-night rehearsal, as an opportunity to build trust. This is a space in Bengaluru to work through emotions, build lasting friendships, and find a home for your expression.

I am Aastha Gulati, and I founded Dhurii because I wanted a place where the focus shifted from performance pressure to personal growth. Here, we create together, heal together, and hold space for each other. We are not just training dancers; we are nurturing a community.
