FIRA: Our Annual Community Dance Showcase

FIRA is an immersive 12-week journey where we help you translate your movement into performance art. Our training focuses on stage blocking, formation, and storytelling, ensuring you feel confident and grounded whether you are dancing Indo-Fusion or Tribal Fusion Belly Dance when you finally step onto the professional stage at venues like Prabhath Kaladwaraka.

At Dhurii, we believe that being on stage is about connection, not just perfection. Our performance batches are designed to guide you through this transition, offering 20 to 24 hours of contact classes spread over 8 to 12 weeks. You will not be alone in this. We provide comprehensive mentorship, including peer feedback circles, mental preparation for the stage, and assistance with costuming through mood boards and sourcing guidance.

The Performance Journey

When you join a FIRA performance batch, you are entering a space meant to support your growth. You will focus on:

• Stage Presence: Learning how to own your space and project your intent.
• Technical Foundations: Mastering formations and body conditioning suitable for a professional auditorium.
• Community: Rehearsing with a group that prioritizes laughter and shared goals over competition.

Production Details

We take the production quality seriously so you can focus on the art. Our shows feature professional stage lighting design, sound engineering, and backstage management. Whether we are hosting you at an intimate space like Shoonya or a grand auditorium, we ensure your story gets the backdrop it deserves. After the event, you will receive digital copies of professional videography and photography to cherish the moment.
