About Mélange & Toolbox: The Student Journey to Stage
Joining our Toolbox intensive isn't about being a professional dancer from day one. It is a 20 to 24-hour course designed to build your stage presence and comfort. Expect to work hard in our Domlur studio, navigate the nerves of rehearsal, and eventually perform your piece at Mélange. It is a dedicated space to shed self-consciousness and truly find your expression.
The journey from the studio to the stage is rarely a straight line. Our Toolbox intensive course is a 20 to 24-hour program specifically designed for those who want to move past the basics and explore their artistic voice. Whether you are working on stage blocking, formations, or learning how to embody a narrative, our senior instructors focus on your growth as an individual performer rather than just executing steps.
When you join a performance batch, you are not just signing up for choreography classes. You gain access to mentorship, peer feedback circles, and practical support like mood boards for costuming. We believe in the process of discovery, which is why we hold our showcases, Mélange, as an intimate environment. This allows you to perform in front of a supportive community in curated spaces, from our own studios in Domlur and New Tippasandra to professional venues like Prabhath Kaladwaraka.
We welcome dancers of all levels who are ready to commit to the rehearsal process. You do not need a history of professional training to participate. If you have the willingness to show up, do the work, and be open to the experience, you will find your place here.
