About Hand-Painted & Printed Sarees

Every hand-painted piece I stock uses pure Mysore crepe silk, usually in 100 GSM for that perfect drape. I ensure the floral motifs on your pallu are not just printed, but thoughtfully hand-painted, often highlighted with an embroidered outline to give the design real depth and character.

When you look at my collection, you will see a mix of two worlds. The digital printed sarees offer that classic, elegant look perfect for parties, while my hand-painted series on Mysore crepe is for those who want something vibhinnavAgiruvaMtha (unique). For the hand-painted pieces, we focus on the pallu and borders, applying the art manually so no two sarees are ever exactly the same. I often combine techniques—for example, taking a floral brush paint design and adding an embroidered outline. This isn't just about decoration; it adds structure and life to the motifs.

I also pay close attention to the base fabric. Whether you choose the 80 GSM for a lighter, breezy feel or the 100 GSM for a thicker, more structured drape, the quality of the Mysore crepe silk remains the priority. My sarees often feature thoughtful additions like scallop cutwork borders, hand-stitched tassels, and, for my overseas clients, pre-stitched falls so you are ready to drape immediately. If you have a specific color palette in mind or want to mix a digital print with a hand-painted border, let’s chat. We can build your saree from the fabric choice up to the final detailing.
