About The Comeback Trail: Injury Recovery
Getting back on the platform after an injury isn't about rushing your return; it is about smart, controlled load management. In my 1-on-1 sessions, we break down your movement patterns to identify exactly where the compensation is happening, often using tempo work and reduced range of motion to build stability before we ever touch heavy singles again.
Recovery isn't just about waiting for pain to fade. It is about actively strengthening the weaknesses that led to the injury in the first place. Whether it is a niggle in your lower back from improper bracing or a shoulder issue from a flawed bench press setup, we treat the injury with specialized programming.
In my 1-on-1 sessions at our Matiala studio, we use video analysis to look at your lifts frame-by-frame. We often start with tempo work, isometric holds, or reduced range of motion training—adjustments that allow you to keep training without aggravating the site of the injury. For my para-powerlifting athletes, this is even more critical, ensuring their setup is stable and safe for long-term competition.
We work on biomechanics: fixing your leverage, adjusting your stance width, and re-teaching your core how to handle pressure. If you are a competitive lifter, we also plan your return to the platform so you don't jump back into heavy singles too soon and risk a setback. It requires patience and ego-management, but the process works. If you are ready to stop sitting on the sidelines, send me a message and let's get your training back on track.
