Meet Your Coach: My Pilates Journey & Philosophy
I’m Prajakta. For 13 years, I’ve been helping my ‘Pilates gang’ in Bengaluru move better and live without pain. Here is the story behind my practice.
I am thrilled to share that I am officially certified in Apparatus Pilates from the renowned Michael King Pilates Institute. Continuous learning is part of my journey to ensure I bring the best to my clients.
The true beauty of a woman is in how passionately she pursues her purpose. Here's to women who lead with heart, hustle with grace, and live with purpose. You are beautiful just as you are.
You are stronger than you think. Strength isn't about being invincible. It's in the silent tears, the struggles, and the moments you figure things out step by step. Own your journey and be you.
Here are a few things I've learned that I wish all new Pilates trainers knew. You don't need to please everyone, have a "Pilates body," or make every class super intense. Just be authentic, and your tribe will find you.
"Expand your wings, learn new things, and fly as high as you can." A clip from a BNI meeting where I had the opportunity to share my passion for fitness. I am always working on myself to grow and learn.
To every woman who keeps going, no matter what. Sometimes strength is not a fiery flame but a tiny spark that whispers, "you got this." I meet clients like this every day, and they inspire me to stay put.
A professional portrait of me. I believe in what I teach, and I'm here to guide you on your own fitness journey.
About this collection
Fitness isn’t about hitting a target weight for a mirror selfie. It’s about building a body that stays with you, strong and independent, for the next 20 or 30 years. When I train, we aren't chasing aesthetic perfection; we are working on functional strength so you can handle the real world—whether that's keeping up with your kids or moving without chronic back pain. If you're looking for a quick fix, I’m not your coach. If you’re looking for a sustainable, science-backed path to feeling good in your skin, let’s talk.
My Approach to Fitness
After 13 years of coaching, I’ve learned that the most effective fitness routines are the ones you actually stick to. I don't believe in 'punishing' your body. My method, rooted in my certification from the Michael King Pilates Institute, focuses on precision and control. Whether we’re working on the Reformer and Cadillac in a private session or flowing through a group Mat class, the goal is the same: fixing your posture and strengthening the muscles that actually support your joints, like the glutes and core.
Why I Focus on Functional Movement
Many of my clients come to me after trying high-intensity gyms that left them feeling burnt out or injured. I take a different path. We focus on:
- Injury Prevention: Strengthening the body to handle daily life, from sitting at a desk to lifting groceries.
- Sustainable Progress: No quick fixes or crash courses. We focus on small, consistent wins.
- Mind-Body Connection: Understanding how you move, not just how fast you can do a rep.
My 'Pilates Gang' in Bengaluru
I’m proud to teach across Bengaluru—from the Whitefield Club to my studio in Gunjur and Prestige Lakeside Habitat in Varthur. But it’s not just about the location; it’s about the community. We work hard, we sweat, and yes, sometimes we grab lunch afterward, because celebration toh mangta hai (celebration is a must). If you are ready to stop chasing trends and start building a body that lasts, my tribe is waiting for you.
Prajakta Date
Hi, I'm Prajakta! I’ve been teaching Pilates since 2011, and I’m a mom, a wife, and a firm believer that exercise should make you feel empowered, not exhausted. We train hard, but we keep it real—we laugh, we struggle, and yes, we definitely celebrate our small wins together.
