We craft homes that breathe by blending traditional materials like mud, brick, and terracotta with modern architectural techniques. Our designs prioritize thermal comfort and a deep connection to nature, creating spaces that feel grounded and timeless.

This home, Madhura, was designed to feel like an ancestral dwelling but for a modern urban life. It's a story told through mud, stone, and light.

The exterior of the Madhura house showcases a blend of traditional forms and modern design, with exposed brick walls and layered terraces that connect the home to its surroundings.

The living room in the Madhura house opens directly to the garden, centered around the Tulasi Brindavan. The combination of a yellow Jaisalmer stone floor and a terracotta vault roof fills the space with warmth.

I design spaces for living and gathering. This room, with its Jaisalmer stone floor and terracotta vault, is perfect for music sessions and intimate conversations.

A moment of music and connection in the Madhura house. The earthy material palette of terracotta and stone creates a warm, acoustically rich environment.

This view highlights the rich, monolithic color of the terracotta vault and walls, creating a cozy and enveloping atmosphere in the living area.

A closer look at the living space in the Madhura house, where traditional Indian instruments feel right at home against the backdrop of earthy textures and materials.

The interplay of textures is central to my work. Here, the smooth yellow oxide wall with leaf imprints meets the rich red of the terracotta brick.

The feature wall in the Madhura house, finished in yellow oxide with delicate leaf imprints, acts as an artistic extension of the garden landscape just outside.

This vibrant living space combines a terracotta vault roof, a Jaisalmer stone floor, and a custom yellow oxide wall with leaf imprints for a truly unique, artistic feel.

About Earthy & Sustainable Homes

Choosing an earthy home is a sensory experience. You will notice the natural thermal comfort of our compressed stabilized earth block (CSEB) walls immediately, and our hand-troweled oxide floors stay naturally cool throughout the day, significantly reducing the need for artificial air conditioning.
