Aerial Yoga Flow and Stretches in RR Nagar
Aerial yoga is about using the silk hammock to explore new movements and deepen your practice. Whether you want to try your first inversion or just find a gentle way to stretch, this is where you can learn to fly.
Letting go and trusting the process is a core part of the journey. This supported backbend uses the silk hammock to help decompress the spine and open the heart. It’s a pose that feels just as amazing as it looks, and we guide you into it step by step.

This is a closer look at a supported inversion, a key part of aerial yoga. This pose helps relieve pressure on the joints and is a wonderful way to build core strength and find a moment of calm. It’s a feeling of complete release.

Finding that feeling of lightness and flying is pure magic. This pose is all about extension and balance, using the silk to support you as you stretch and strengthen your body. This is where I feel my heart truly belongs.
About Finding Your Flow: Poses & Stretches
You do not need to be super flexible to start. In my sessions, we focus on trusting the silk hammock first. Whether it is your first time or you are looking to deepen your practice, we work on simple inversions that safely decompress your spine. Most people are surprised to find that holding onto the fabric actually makes deep stretching feel much easier than it does on a standard yoga mat.
Finding Your Flow
Aerial yoga is not just about acrobatics. It is about using the hammock as a supportive tool to help your body move in ways it cannot on the ground. I run my workshops at Evolve Yoga in RR Nagar with a focus on safety and personal attention. Because I keep these batches small, typically between 8 and 12 people, I can offer hands-on spotting for every participant.
What to Expect in Class
We start with the basics. You will learn how to grip the hammock safely, how to engage your core, and how to use the fabric for support.
- Spinal Decompression: We guide you into gentle inversions where the silk takes the weight off your joints. It feels amazing for tight backs.
- Core Engagement: You will feel your muscles working, but in a way that feels playful rather than like a chore.
- The Restful Cocoon: Every session ends with a period of stillness wrapped in silk. It is my favorite part of the class.
Is it for You?
If you are a beginner, do not worry. I trained in Rishikesh to blend traditional yoga with these aerial techniques specifically so that everyone can participate. You do not need to be a gymnast. You just need a bit of curiosity.
We offer both single-day introductions for those who want to test the waters, and weekend intensives for those who want to dive deeper into flow transitions and advanced conditioning. Everything you need is provided at the studio in RR Nagar, including the heavy-duty silks and crash mats for extra safety.
