About One-Day Workshops: A Taste of Crochet
You don't need to be crafty to start here. My 3-hour sessions are designed for absolute beginners who just want a relaxing afternoon. I handle everything—I bring the yarn, the hooks, and the kit, so you just show up ready to learn. We usually meet at cozy spots like Blue Tokai or Museo Camera where the atmosphere is low-pressure, laughter is common, and you will walk out with a completed project like an amigurumi toy or a keychain.
Your First Step into Crochet
Think of this as a 3-hour break from the daily grind. You might be worried about whether you can hold the hook right or if your fingers will coordinate, but trust me, we have all been there. My workshops are intentionally kept small—usually 6 to 10 people—so I can personally help you with your grip and fix those accidental skipped stitches.
What We Cover
- The Basics: From holding your hook to making that first slip knot and your first chain.
- Key Stitches: We focus on the foundational stitches so you feel confident enough to try projects on your own later.
- The Project: In one sitting, we aim to finish something tangible. Whether it's a cute keychain or a small amigurumi character, you will leave with a finished piece in your bag.
- The Kit: You get a full starter kit, including an ergonomic soft-grip hook (because your hands will thank me), darning needles, stitch markers, and the yarn you need.
Why Join a Workshop?
Learning from a video can get lonely and frustrating when you get stuck. Here, you have me to walk you through it, plus the company of fellow learners. It is not just about the crochet; it is about the gup shup (chatting), the coffee, and the quiet joy of making something from scratch. These sessions are perfect for anyone looking to pick up a therapeutic hobby, meet new people, or just spend a Sunday afternoon doing something different in Delhi or Gurgaon.
Check the upcoming schedule, pick a cafe, and come say hi. No pressure, no judgment—just fun.
Crochet Kala
I'm just a regular girl with a serious crochet addiction who believes that the best art happens when you're laughing. I started this to turn my passion for yarn into a space where others can find their own 'happy place,' one stitch at a time.
