Crochet Classes for Beginners in Gurugram
Whether you have never held a hook or are looking to refresh your skills, my beginner courses are designed to help you start stitching with confidence. Join me in Gurugram to learn the basics, find your flow, and create something beautiful from scratch.
This is where the journey begins. Watch 12 year old Janvi, focused and dedicated, as she learns her very first stitches during our beginner's course. Her passion for learning this skill is truly inspiring.
A rainy day is the perfect time to learn a new skill. Here, one of my young students is discovering the magic of crochet, turning a simple thread into something beautiful in just one hour.
Summer breaks are for creating memories. I love teaching parents and children together, like in this session where a mother and daughter are both learning to crochet. It is a wonderful bonding activity.
Crochet is for everyone, from celebrities like Kajol to my wonderful students. In my classes, people of all ages and backgrounds come together to learn this timeless craft and find their creative spark.
This is the result of dedication. After completing my beginner's course, 11 year old Janhvi proudly made this entire granny square bag herself. Seeing my students succeed is my greatest reward.
About Crochet for Beginners: Kids & Adults
In my beginner sessions, we keep the groups small, with only 3 to 5 participants, to ensure I can provide individual attention to every student. You do not need to bring anything to start. I provide a complete starter kit, including your own crochet hook and yarn, so you walk away from your very first session having finished a tangible project like a coaster or a bookmark.
Learning to crochet is not just about following a pattern; it is about finding a rhythm that calms the mind. I call my approach 'New Age Yoga' because the repetitive motion of stitching is a powerful tool for stress relief and mindfulness.
My beginner courses are structured to be low-pressure and highly rewarding. For children aged 11 and up, this is a fantastic way to build hand-eye coordination and patience away from digital screens. For adults, it serves as a creative escape from the daily grind.
What we cover in your first sessions:
- Basics of Tension: Mastering the grip and tension is the foundation of any good project.
- Essential Stitches: We cover slip knots, chain stitches, and single crochet.
- Pattern Reading: You will learn how to read simple diagrams so you can continue your practice at home.
- Project Completion: You will finish at least one small utility item in your first 2.5-hour session.
Whether you are joining for our weekend workshops in Mayfield Garden or seeking a custom schedule, my goal is the same: to help you experience the joy of making something with your own hands. This craft is a part of our virasat, and I am happy to pass these techniques on to you.
