Kids and Community Crochet Workshops
Crochet is for everyone. From school sessions to NGO workshops, I love sharing the quiet joy of making something with your own hands.
Thank you to Ridge Valley School for giving me the opportunity to conduct a crochet workshop for Grade VIII students. I enjoyed every single moment with these bright young minds.
Never let your inner child die. This picture of a happy child at my stall is a beautiful reminder of the simple joys in life and the magic of handmade things.
About Crafting for a Cause: Kids & Community Workshops
I pack all the yarn, hooks, and materials for our sessions. Whether I am teaching Grade VIII students at Ridge Valley School or working with NGO groups, my goal is simple: helping everyone, especially kids, find that magic circle moment of calm. You do not need to bring anything but curiosity, and we handle the rest together.
Crochet is more than just a hobby. It is a way to slow down, build patience, and create something tangible in a world that moves too fast. When I work with schools or community groups, the energy is different. Kids, in particular, get so engrossed in the process of turning a simple string into a shape that their natural focus often surprises their teachers.
My approach to these workshops is rooted in simplicity. We start small, usually with keychains or simple amigurumi shapes, so that participants feel a sense of accomplishment within the session. It is not about perfection. It is about the baatein (chats) we have while working and the confidence that builds when you realize you can actually make something from scratch.
What to expect from a community or school session:
- Hands-on learning: I bring all necessary materials, from ergonomic hooks to soft, beginner-friendly yarn.
- Low pressure environment: We prioritize laughter and patience over rigid structure.
- Scalable engagement: Whether it is a classroom of 30 or a small group at an NGO, I adapt the complexity to suit the group's age and experience level.
Crochet for kids helps develop fine motor skills and spatial awareness, but mostly, it gives them a tactile break from screens. If you are an educator, an NGO coordinator, or just looking to host a creative, meaningful event for your community in Delhi NCR, let's connect.
Crochet Kala
I am just a girl with a serious crochet addiction who believes that the best memories are made when we create together. Seeing the joy on a child's face when they finish their first project is why I do what I do. Let's bring some yarn magic to your group.
