Sip & Stitch: Beginner Crochet Workshops in Bangalore
Join me for a few hours of slow, mindful crafting. Whether you have never held a hook before or just want a cozy Sunday escape, my Sip & Stitch workshops are all about relaxing with coffee, meeting new people, and leaving with something you made yourself.
This is your sign to spend a Sunday differently. Join me for a few hours of mindful crafting where you'll learn four basic stitches and get a complete crochet kit to continue your practice at home.
This is the view from my offline beginner workshop. It’s a space where women of all ages, from teens to grandmothers, come together to learn, laugh, and untangle yarn.
The first few minutes of explaining crochet can feel a bit confusing, but the breakthrough moment is always my favorite part. Seeing everyone's focus turn into confidence is why I love teaching.
My Sunday mornings are for this. I love setting up in a beautiful cafe and getting ready to welcome a new group of aspiring crocheters. It’s more than a job; it’s my passion.
Feeling overwhelmed lately? A few hours of focused, creative work with your hands can make all the difference. My workshops are designed to be a peaceful escape from the everyday hustle.
From a 9-year-old to a mom-to-be, crochet truly has no age limit. This workshop was a beautiful mix of people, all sharing a moment of creativity and connection over coffee and croissants.
It was a pleasure to collaborate with Learntribe and Paint The Town for this workshop. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share my love for crochet with such an energetic and creative group.
Here is a look at one of my exclusive offline workshops. I provide all the materials, so you just need to show up with a willingness to learn and create something beautiful.
A glimpse into my beginner workshop in Indiranagar. For a small fee, you get a full kit, a food and beverage coupon, and a new skill that will bring you calm for years to come.
Here’s an invitation to my next beginner's "Create & Sip" experience. You will learn four foundational stitches and get personal support, all in a relaxed cafe environment.
About Our Sip & Stitch Workshops
You do not need to bring a thing. Every workshop includes a complete starter kit—hook, yarn, scissors, and markers—that is yours to keep, plus a dedicated food coupon to use at the cafe. I keep groups small and teach slowly, dheeme dheeme, so I can sit with you one-on-one until your fingers stop feeling clumsy and you get the hang of those first four stitches.
More Than Just a Class
These workshops are not about perfecting complex patterns in a single afternoon. They are about finding a quiet, creative anchor in your busy week. We meet at premium cafe partners like Third Wave Coffee, where the vibe is strictly low-pressure and high-comfort.
What You Will Actually Learn
During our 2-3 hour session, I guide you through the absolute basics. Even if you arrive thinking you are 'all thumbs,' you will leave knowing:
- The Foundation: How to hold your hook and yarn correctly to prevent hand cramps.
- The Four Stitches: Chain, Single, Double, and Slip stitches—the building blocks for almost any project you’ll ever want to make.
- Troubleshooting: How to fix common mistakes (and why dropping a stitch is completely normal).
Why This Workshop?
- Full Kit Included: You take home 3 balls of yarn, an ergonomic hook, and all the tools you need to continue practicing.
- Post-Workshop Support: You gain access to a private WhatsApp group where I share free patterns and answer your questions long after the cafe session ends.
- A Healthy Break: Depression me jaane se accha hai (it is better than slipping into depression)—many of my students tell me they come just to shut off the noise of the city for a few hours.
If you can’t make it to a cafe, look for my DIY Home Learning Kits, which include pre-recorded video tutorials so you can learn at your own pace from your couch.
Love Crochet Very Much
Hi, I’m Zaina. I started crochet when I was going through a tough time, and those loops of yarn literally stitched my mind back together. Now, I run these workshops to share that same peace with you—it’s not about being perfect, it’s about finding a little calm in your busy week.
