Crochet Workshop Student Creations
Crochet is all about the joy of making, not perfection. Check out the beautiful first projects our students created while learning with us.
Look at this adorable little bow made by one of my students. They've been practicing the stitches we learned in class, and the results are just beautiful.
This student practiced their double crochet and half double crochet stitches to create this lovely textured patch. Consistency is the key to getting your tension just right.
From a flat circle to a 3D ball. This student used the magic circle and single crochet stitches to create a cute little keychain. It's amazing what you can make with a few basic skills.
This piece shows a student practicing how to increase stitches to create a curved shape. This is a fundamental skill for making everything from hats to amigurumi toys.
A sweet little flower made by a beginner. This project is great for practicing basic stitches and learning how to work in the round.
This flat circle is the starting point for so many projects, like coasters, baskets, or the base of a toy. This student has done a great job keeping their stitches even.
About Look What Our Students Made!
You don't need to be perfect to start. In my sessions, we focus on learning the flow, handling the hook comfortably, and letting go of the need for flawless stitches. Whether it’s a slightly wonky coaster or your first cute amigurumi friend, every piece here was a first attempt by a student who walked in thinking they couldn't do it.
Learning to crochet is a journey, and I make sure it’s a fun one. My beginner workshops are designed to be low-pressure spaces where we prioritize the gup shup (chatting) and the process as much as the outcome.
What Students Actually Learn
When you join a session, we move beyond just holding the hook. We start with the basics—slip knots, the magic circle, and chain stitches—before moving to single, half-double, and double crochet. You will learn how to:
- Read Patterns: Deciphering those written codes stops being scary once you understand the logic behind them.
- Shape Your Work: We practice increasing and decreasing to turn flat rows into 3D items like toys and pouches.
- Handle Color Changes: Learn to swap yarn colors cleanly, which is essential for making patterns pop.
A Community Experience
My workshops in Delhi NCR aren't like formal classes. They are like hanging out with friends. We usually host these at cozy cafes like Blue Tokai or art spaces like Museo Camera. You bring your curiosity, and I provide the kit—yarn, ergonomic hooks, and everything else you need to finish a project in one sitting.
Whether you want to make a simple keychain or dive into a 5-weekend course to master complex textures, there is a spot for you here. Mistakes are expected, encouraged, and easily fixed. Let’s make something together.
