A study in geometric precision and tropical integration, The Long House utilizes a 24-foot cantilever to dissolve boundaries between built form and natural surroundings.

An aerial view of the Long House at twilight, highlighting the dramatic 24-foot cantilever. This structural feat allows the upper volume to hover, creating a dynamic composition of intersecting horizontal and vertical planes.

The home's facade is a composition of heterogeneous cuboidal volumes. We used a palette of exposed concrete and rich timber cladding to create a dialogue between mass, material, and the surrounding greenery.

A perspective showcasing the 24-foot cantilever, a signature element of the Long House. This bold structural expression is balanced by the warmth of the wood-clad lower level and its integration with the landscaped lawn.

This drone shot reveals the architectural master plan of the Long House. The layout is organized along a linear axis, with the central courtyard and terrace acting as pivotal open spaces that connect the different zones of the home.

A top-down view illustrating the geometric precision of our landscape and architectural design. The composition includes a central terrace, a green courtyard, and linear paving that guides movement and connects the built form to the garden.

The Long House viewed from the garden at dusk. The cantilevered concrete volume appears to float above the timber-clad ground floor, with the surrounding landscape and wild grasses softening its modern lines.

The minimalist facade of the Long House, where clean lines and a restrained material palette create maximum clarity. The cantilevered concrete box with vertical slits is a defining feature of this contemporary Bangalore residence.

This view highlights the interplay of solid and void. The upper level features a wooden screen that provides privacy and filters light, while the ground floor opens up to the garden, demonstrating our focus on creating layered architectural experiences.

The cantilevered upper floor, with its vertical wooden louvers, creates a screened living space that is protected yet open. Below, the garden's lush foliage grows right up to the house, blurring the line between inside and out.

A low-angle view emphasizing the powerful form of the cantilevered concrete slab. This structural element provides a sheltered outdoor space, seamlessly connecting the home's interior with the garden and lawn.

About Project: The Long House

The 24-foot cantilever featured in this residence is not purely a visual statement; it functions as a sheltered transitional space that bridges the interior living area with the garden. We coordinate directly with structural engineers to ensure these heavy concrete elements maintain a floating aesthetic while remaining strictly compliant with site-specific Vastu requirements.
