Homes That Breathe: Designing Spaces Integrated with Nature
We design homes that do not just sit on the land, but live with it. Expect high ceilings, natural light, and layouts that dissolve the barrier between your living room and the outdoors.
The entrance to our Nandi Hills weekend home sets a warm, welcoming tone with exposed brick, a solid wood double door, and flowering plants. This design choice immediately connects the home to its rustic, natural setting.
A living space designed to maximize natural light, featuring a large glass skylight and floor-to-ceiling windows. The neutral color palette and minimalist furniture ensure the focus remains on the connection to the outdoors.
This angle shows how we create cohesive, open-plan living areas. The living room, dining space, and kitchen flow into one another under a vaulted ceiling with a skylight, making the entire area feel spacious and connected.
The dining area is positioned to offer serene views of the surrounding greenery through large windows. We use natural materials like the wooden dining table and earthy tones in the decor to complement the outdoor landscape.
A master suite designed as a personal retreat, complete with a four-poster bed and a separate seating area. The use of warm wood and soft lighting creates a cozy, relaxing atmosphere within this expansive bedroom.
This hallway features a full-height glass wall, offering panoramic views of the landscape while moving through the house. The cascading chandelier adds a touch of modern elegance, contrasting with the natural scenery.
A modern wooden staircase set against a large window, making the journey between floors an experience with nature. The vertical wooden slats act as a screen, adding texture and a sense of privacy.

This video shows the evolution of our Yercaud villa project, from the initial concept sketches and site exploration to the final 3D renders. It demonstrates our design process for creating a home that is truly integrated with its hillside location.
The modernization of an estate bungalow in Sakleshpur, captured at dusk. We worked to preserve the traditional character with its sloping tiled roof while opening up the space to connect with the lush estate grounds.
About Homes That Breathe
Our approach to breathable homes relies on strategic cross-ventilation and materials like CLT and natural stone. We do not just build walls; we plan how light tracks across your floor throughout the day. If you are looking to integrate a garden into your living space or want high-ceiling ventilation that keeps interiors cool without heavy AC usage, let us discuss your site orientation.
We believe the best interiors are the ones that feel as fresh as the outdoors. Whether we are planning a hill villa in Yercaud or a weekend home in Nandi Hills, the objective is the same: thermal comfort and visual peace. Our design process starts with an analysis of sun paths and wind direction.
Why Nature-Integrated Design Matters
It is not just about aesthetics. By using materials like Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and smart stone cladding, we create spaces that regulate temperature naturally. This reduces the need for constant air conditioning and artificial lighting.
Our Process
- Site Analysis: We walk the land to see where the morning light hits and where the breeze comes from.
- Layout Planning: We prioritize open-plan living. By minimizing partition walls, we allow air to move freely, which is essential for the humid climate of South India.
- Material Selection: We favor raw, honest materials. Marble, recycled wood, and glass are used to reflect the surroundings rather than hide them.
Real-World Application
In our Nandi Hills projects, we use full-height glass walls to frame the landscape like a living painting. In urban Bengaluru, we often incorporate internal courtyards, creating a private green sanctuary inside a busy city plot. If your goal is a home that feels like a refuge from the city rather than a concrete box, we would love to help you sketch out the possibilities.
